Very good thread. But it has a simple answer - government isn't parents. That's why it can not be peaceful. Unless people are ok with SM (sado-mazo) relationship, there is nothing peacefull in there. Furthemore, while parents have more rational thinking capabilities than children, government does not have this attribute over the population, because everyone else is more or less an adult too. There are more differencies, but I think that analogy is false.
