A Message to Anarchists who Did Not Support Trump
Chad Mitchell replied to Dylan Lawrence Moore's topic in Current Events
Glad to see Dsayers is keeping the voluntaryist tradition alive and well since this as turned into an Alt-Right forum. -
Trump stated that Snowden should be executed...
Chad Mitchell replied to SoCaliGirl's topic in Current Events
Thank you for stating this despite the fact that so many have bought into such a cult of personality. He may be a necessary evil to save Western Civilization, but that does not mean the institution itself or what Trump will do with it won't be evil. -
Trump's Cabinet: Same ol' shit?

Sam Harris is starting to piss me off again
Chad Mitchell replied to jpahmad's topic in Atheism and Religion
The more Harris talks about philosophy and the clash of civilizations the better he sounds. His discussions on secular morality are fun to listen to. When he tries to talk about pure politics is when he begins to look foolish. -
I don't remember Stefan spending this type of time on promoting Romney because he was better than Obama. I've listened to Stefan long enough to know that he views voting as pointless and the entire involuntary form of government as invalid. I'm curious about his honest opinion on issues that Trump's opinion is valid and ones in which his opinion is not . If you guys do have videos discussing this, I apologize that I missed them. There have been so many videos on Trump and many of them seemed to be aimed at only promoting him and taking on his critics. Obviously there are valid and invalid criticisms of Trump, and if Stefan does have a video on this, I would love to see it.

As a long time Freedomain listener, I've struggled to understand what Trump's appeal is to the anarcho-capitalist position. While he does hold some views I find refreshing in politics, there is still some issues like 4th amendment and spying for instance where he falls short. As much time as Stefan has spent combatting the Trump haters, I would still like to see Stefan break down honestly both what he agrees and disagrees with Trump on.

I am having a very difficult time understanding how a philosophy show dedicated to the promotion of rational thinking, sound arguments, and principles like the NAP spends so much time talking about Donald Trump. I find the man comical, but the contradictions the man has made through his life on principles and issues is quite blatant. In this cycle alone, while Stefan made videos detailing the grave injustice against the ranchers in Nevada and Oregon, Trump is being interviewed by Field and Stream magazine talking about how the Federal Government should keep the lands to keep them nice. Obviously that shows a fundamental misunderstanding of what government is. I feel has if libertarian/anarchists for Trump are just one big troll rooting for him only because they see him facilitating the fall of the two party system. Thoughts?

You are absolutely correct. It is an old age way of trying to secure K based flourishing and to decrease R based parasitism.

Yea, I had to stop myself from bursting with laughter when she showed hairy armpits.....ummm ok. That wouldn't shock me as you suggest if you also weren't wearing boatloads of makeup with your boobs about to pop out of your shirt. It goes back to points I've made in the past and I think Stef has as well which is men are not the one's promoting unrealistic views of women. Most men don't care too much for makeup and everyone knows that women dress up for other women not for men. It's mainly to avoid scorn from other women.

Yea, for me I just was curious after seeing her very thoughtful video's on circumcision

Great Point!!!

So I watched a few of Laci's videos simply because of her pro-foreskin and anti-circumcision videos, but after watching her video on Feminism I have some mixed feelings about her positions at this point. Some of her points touch on similar issues that Men's Rights Activists talk about, so it makes me wonder if maybe their are more points of agreements between some feminists and MRAs. What do you guys think about her positions? I wouldn't mind seeing Stef have a conversation with her.

Why Politicized Science is Dangerous
Chad Mitchell replied to Think Free's topic in Science & Technology
excellent point, one of my few criticisms of Stef has always been that in some cases (global warming) he will acknowledge how politics has distorted science in a given area, but then turn around and defend vaccines as the end all be all even in today's highly fascist vaccine industry. I'm sure there is good science behind vaccines as a basic level, but efficacy and safety should come into question when you have Government protecting vaccine makers by paying off their victims. It's a moral hazard that is created for the industry, because there is no market accountability.
