  1. I would like to know what is Stefan's opinion on this. He rarely talks about his ancestors.
  2. Let's say William Molyneux was around today. Would he be proud of his great great great... grand son? I think he would be, despite the fact that he was came from an Anglican background and he would not totally agree with Stef's voluntaryism and other stuff. If you don't know who William Molyneux was, just search him up on Wikipedia.
  3. Here's more news on CISPA and it's not good at allRead more here: http://rt.com/usa/epic-foia-internet-surveillance-350/They should just leave the internet alone.
  4. I am hoping to be there. I'm not 100% sure at this time. It'll be my first time in New Hampshire if I do go to Porcfest 2013.
  5. I figured I wouldn't be the only one here to get pulled over for no reason. Some cops just have nothing better to do. I live in a town where not that much happens. So the only excitement that cop got out of that day was pulling me over for no reason.
  6. I never thought of it that way. That sounds pretty accurate.
  7. It's a joke from George Carlin. I'm not 100% sure about the context. It's just a funny thing Carlin said. I found it in his When Will Jesus Bring The Pork Chops book. I thought it was quite funny and I usually have that quote as my sig on some forums.
  8. She died today Read more here.
  9. I have been pulled over for no reason. Here's my brief story. It was sometime in the summer or fall of 2012. I'm driving my car down a hill and this police officer is suspicious of me. He thought was driving drunk or something as driving down a hill. I thought this was ridiculous. He didn't tell me to get out of the car. I was driving slow, because I did not want to go too fast down the hill I was driving. He didn't give me a ticket or anything... and he let me go. I was glad I didn't get a ticket. I've never gotten a ticket in my life (I've been driving for over 10 years now). So has anyone here besides me has ever been pulled over by the fuzz? Share your story here.
  10. Who knows? We still don't know the full power of the web. Might happen sooner than any of us think. Things are accelerating. Very true, as time goes by more and more... things really accelerate at quite a rate.
  11. The first MLP: FiM episode I ever watched revolved around the CMC. Then my BFF (we have issues right now, he thinks I talk shit about his friends and family, which is totally false) told me to watch the episodes in chronological order and after that... boom I got into it. I would like to see when the CMC get cutie marks. It would be quite odd if they never ever get them. But I dunno about that, don't ALL ponies in that universe get cutie marks? They'll get them eventually.
  12. Wikleaks pretty much exploits corrupt things. I have found the latest about Wikileaks. http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-57578420-38/wikileaks-launches-searchable-archive-of-government-records/
  13. Yeah, I really like the Bad Seed episode a lot. It's an excellent episode and it has the best example of UPB.
  14. I agree, it does indeed have Universally Preferable Behavior and the Non Aggression Principle. You're absolutely right.
  15. Stef has mentioned My Little Pony once or twice. He doesn't specifically mention My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic though. I wonder if his daughter has watched. It's definitely aimed her age demographic and I guess she's a fan.
  16. I found that video rather amusing and I laughed towards the end. Good find!
  17. I hope you're right. So now I guess it'll happen in the middle part of the 21st century.
  18. I've been on quite a roll lately by posting stuff here. I was wondering... when do you think the state will be revealed as just "just another giant stone cow. I'm referring to one of my favorite videos Stef has ever done ( ). My prediction will be by the 2100's... It's just my prediction. I hope it's coming soon.
  19. Actually, there's quite a lot of straight men in the brony community. I know, because I used to be a part of the community. I happen to be gay (there's some LGBT bronies out there, but I think there's more straight ones), however I met many heterosexual guys in that community. Of course, many of them were single and had a hard time finding a woman. Of course that's like with any of those kind of communities. I have a feeling that some guys have actually found their future wives in the brony community. Many assume all men into MLP: FiM are all gay. On the contrary, a vast amount of the guys are straight. Sure many of them may not ever have a real good relationship, but I know there's definitely some who have met their girlfriends in the brony community and in due time, they will marry and have children.
  20. Thanks for the responses everyone.
  21. Not that much... from what I remember, the philosophy was not really geunine and I really did not learn much. I actually don't remember it well, so it really wasn't a good class. However, I do remember getting a good final mark in that class. The best and most genuine philosophy I've learned is from FDR and other sources over the Internet. I didn't take it in high school, but I took it at a community college (which is sometimes regarded as 13th grade). So... I think the philosophy they teach in high school and a community college are not terribly different.
  22. Well said. I was once a brony a little over a year ago, now I'm not. I do like watching it from time to time. I made a topic about this a while ago: http://board.freedomainradio.com/forums/t/37935.aspx
  23. Seriously? How unnecessary. However I'm not terribly surprised, this is the federal gov't after all.
  24. Seriously, I do not understand. I've been an atheist for most of my life, then I actually tried to be Catholic (I was supposed to be raised Catholic, but mom & dad had been divorced and they became Protestant) and I think there was one time where I considered myself agnostic/atheist. How does it happen? You don't believe in god and then all of a sudden you're unsure? Give me a break! May someone please explain this to me? I'll never be like... oh I don't believe in god and then a year or two later... oh no, I should become agnostic. I love Stef's explanation why agnosticism is bad in Agnosticism -- The Incomprehensible Halo... I love that video a lot and all agnostic people you should watch and listen to it extremely carefully. Now I'm not gonna mention names here or anything. But I knew a person who was an atheist between the years 2007 - 2009 and then they became an agnostic. We argued it over it and I couldn't believe the person became an agnostic... and the person was so atheistic during that period in time. In fact, the person may have been more atheistic than myself at the time (I'm not sure actually, the person once stated they were atheist/agnostic, but leaned towards the atheistic side). This totally upsetted me 3 years ago, now I'm just like oh well... their loss.
