This one hits home. I have a friend that attempts to claim driving a car is, while very minor in degree, a violation of the NAP against future generations. My friend is a "climate change" evangelist. It causes strife between us.

I reject the poison pill of pollution invalidating the NAP. This argument is basically the secular version of original sin. If you consider life as optional, then yes you could argue pollution is aggression. If you are a misanthropic nihilist, arguing about the sin of pollution is your attempt to justify spreading misery.

This quasi legalization is a bureaucrats dream and a consumer's nightmare as ETU hinted at in earlier post. It gives unproductive folk AKA govt. a reason to exist. Think of how many rules and brow beating we currently endure with "legal" alcohol. "Legal" weed means the political parasites have another excuse to micromanage every aspect of your life for "your protection."
They will call it responsible use. The reality is you must bow to their every whim to enjoy your freedom privilege while paying them extortion money they will call taxes. -
My experience has been many lefty anarchists have little to no economic education. They believe Wall st. to be the pinnacle of capitalism. Those that are educated about economics tend to adopt the social justice warrior model to justify their various bigotries and contradictions.

As I understand it, UPB is applicable to beings that can comprehend and understand UPB. Exactly when and what age that happens is impossible to say. Since one cannot prove a fraudulent claim in regards to an older person having sex with a younger person, I don't think UPB would always condemn such a practice. There is not automatically a violation of UPB because of an age difference.
Age disparity would fall under APB: aesthetically preferable behavior. -

This is akin to slaves doing a work slow-down protest. It's passive aggressive and more likely to do harm than do good. This stunt may cause the violent gang to pass another law making it illegal to pay with 1 dollar bills which could end up harming someone who has good reason to pay their extortion fees with 1 dollar bills.

That whole paragraph is argument by adjective and assertion, and which has already been pointed out: it's dozens of conclusions about dozens of subjects. There is no rational discourse going on.
The first sentence starts with propaganda by using the adjective true to describe communism. Communism is an inconsistent and contradictory method for organization because it denies self ownership and property rights for everyone except the ruling class.

Even if Chomsky had something brilliant to say, his style of communicating is a like running your fist over a cheese grater. BTW, I also found the late William Buckley to be similar.It's a shame in a sense as the guy is obviously very intelligent. But when you have a captive audience (college kids), your incentives to adapt to the market is removed. It's no wonder the guy hates capitalism.

Found that to be one of the best current articles on the continuing hostage situation going on in Venezuela. It's hard to imagine having money AND not being able to buy basic items such as cooking oil or diapers. The measures the govt. mafia keep putting in place to fix supply problem are not fooling anyone.
Maybe we are just in the fish bowl, but I am still amazed you can't hardly find anyone on the street who knows anything about the crisis developing in this oil-rich country. SMH -
Your friend is correct in asserting he is moral - from a utilitarian perspective. His viewing another movie produced the greatest good for his circumstances/situation. There is no way to prove him wrong.
Like all utilitarians, your friend is a relativist. I believe that is where the two of you might have a disagreement.

Was $175 US couple of hours ago (now $195). From what I have read the price is depressed from, well basically too many folks converting bitcoin to fiat.
From what I understand, while transactions are increasing, merchants ain't holding. As soon as they get bitcoin, they convert it to fiat. Miners are also in a pickle as production costs are at or on verge of being higher than market price forcing them to sell coins ASAP.
