  1. Currently I believe Donald Trump is one of the main principles this community stands for
  2. This confuses me too. People say oh because he threatens their way of life (academics etc) but I really don't think he does.
  3. I always think it shows someone's personal issues/insecurities when they behave in a gloating manner. Also I'd add that I myself over the last few days got into a bit of a state about the election and it was all I could think about. I realise now you can't think based on such huge assumptions about the other half, whether that be people who voted for Hillary, Bernie, or even Brexit. There is wisdom to be found in the strangest places and you have to keep an open mind. This movement is not immune to prejudice and dogmatic thinking anymore than any other movement is. I get the feeling a lot of people here are susceptible to thinking in win/lose binary terms, like for example Hillary wins = we lose, Trump wins = end of social justice, muslims come here = end of the West. I don't know where this binary thinking comes from but its not how the real world works and it is actually quite hindering to think like this
  4. I have some confusion as to what exactly it is about Trump that discourages a lot of females? Is it literally just emotional vs logical thinking or is it something deeper like they feel a need to associate with the female candidate because they think she'll do things for them (i.e. ignorance)? I'm genuinely open minded towards understanding this. Is this because having a female president can make a lot of girls feel that 'she is them', so to speak? I don't feel its the case that she just got the SJW vote, I know girls who dislike feminists quite intensely and aren't toxic at all but still seem to support her over Trump (I'll add I'm from the UK, so when I say support I mean things they say, not votes). It doesn't make sense to me why they would like a candidate with such a scandal-ridden past seemingly just because she has a vagina. These are nice girls I know but they just don't seem to get they are being manipulated through their empathy/compassion/femininity. Now maybe we have been manipulated by Trump's masculinity that can be argued but at least he does seem to be on the more logical side. Any thoughts?
