Okay folks, just wanted to give this thread a bump because I finally have my vinyl cutter back up and running after an unfortunately drawn out closing process on 'buying' my house and moving.
So, if you've messaged me with a request (and there are no pending questions as to what you're looking for) you should be seeing your sticker soon.

And as Joe Rogan (stand-up comic, Fear Factor presenter, famous podcaster) once skillfully said: "If weed ruined your life it's because weed got there first".
Joe Rogan says many things which I keep my grains of salt handy for.
Weed doesn't necessarily make people addicted to weed.

I haven't had time to read the entire thread as I'm at work. I just wanted to add that it is important to realize it is not necessarily the cannabis that's making people "stupid", but "stupid" people using cannabis. Plenty of intelligent and rational people use it.

If anything that steering wheel is like the little toy one that's in the little play car of a grocery store shopping cart. It's only there to keep ya sitting in the car instead roaming the aisles for candy.
-
It's the same thing with this initiative. It's about creating a debate around the issue and steering things in the right direction.
Don't steer the car. Just get out.

I have recently created a Facebook page to tell a little bit of my story and gain community support. At the moment I am not making any mention of my mother and her abuse towards me. When this all began I thought it was just going to be temporary, now the idea of turning them over to the whims of a clueless druggy and her narcissistic mother makes me nauseous. I am not prepared at all for children the way I would like to be but I know I can provide more stability then they could ever. Most likely I am not going to be able to convince my sister to give me custody and if I take it to court I risk the possibility of being outcast from their life completely..
Check out my page and give it a thumbs up if you could, I will be posting more on this matter this is just the beginning just wanted to share it with the best community I have ever found online or anywhere actually. Please feel free to share your opinion and give any advice.
-Thanks, Clark http://clarkgorny.wix.com/uncleclark
The link is just for the wix page. If you post a link to the FB page I'll be sure to give it a thumbs up. I wish it was more but I donated a few sheckles via the wix site.

How do you know that? Not to suggest that you are wrong--I am certainly no expert on christianity, but I would be curious to find out what physical evidence supports the notion that jesus was a real person.
They found an old rag that had a human-ish shaped dirt stain on it. That proves it right there!

No rebuttal is necessary--or even possible--because they have not posited a valid argument. I don't have a spaceship, but I can still study and understand orbital mechanics. I don't "have" a volcano, but I can still study and understand plate tectonics. The diffiulty is not in finding a way to respond to this non-argument, but rather in getting the person who made it to realize and care that it is a non-argument.
I'm definitely voting for you next election sir!

I'd contribute from both sides but don't have a BTC wallet yet. I plan on gettin' some BTC soon but others may not, so maybe some more alternatives on the donating side would help. I think the more important art sharing aspect of the idea is great though Wesley.

Hey Dache, just an FYI, the cannabis humidifier graphic says "Locking someone in a cage for doing doing so, certainly is." Ya added an extra doing in there.
-
Awesome lookin' stuff dache!
Did you happen to see the Three Myths of Behaviour Change topic of a YT clip that LovePrevails shared? I think some of the info is relevant for making memes and such.

I can't offer much help on how to deal with the emotional aspects of it but I can say that using logical arguments are a complete waste of time with the illogical lot. You'll probably get better results appealing with a cost benefit analysis type of argument.
-
An interesting aspect of the debate was the tables being turned on the whole "well how would your fancy new system work".

Yeah this Jan Helfeld guy's great, thanks Magnus.

"You don't have kids so..."
"Yes, and apparently I know more about raising kids than you do. So where does that leave you?"
I hope I'll have the cojones to say it if I'm ever in such a situation. I'm curious how it will pan out.
This might be satisfying to say, but it won't have any chance at letting them know why their "you don't have kids" argument is invalid and if you're making the point to them because you care about their child, than I think the best response is the one that has the greatest chance at having a positive affect on the child's life.

Nice sticker! What are the dimensions? It might be too large for me as I have a pick-up and the small rear windows make it so that larger stickers and driving ability don't mix very well
I make these "to order" so I can easily scale the design to any size you like up to about 11.5"x14"ish.

I think being a kid once gives you enough credibility in the argument.

Joe later tweeted this (between tweets about reactions to the Schiff podcast)
"The economy is such a fascinating subject. Like peeking into a complicated mess of sparking wires that runs the world and no one cane fix it."
Which immediately made me think of...

Thanks for all the responses guys.
I probably should have been a little more specific in the OP.
When I came up with the idea I was thinking of a previous "conversation" I had with a couple of friends on FB that are parents. The conversation was via comments on a meme that I posted in response to a meme that two of my friends "liked" (the "I was spanked as a child and as a result I suffer from a condition known as respect for others" horse shit). I then posted the meme that's similar with "others" crossed out and "child abusers" added in its place, with the following comment.
This is for you "friend's name" and "friend's name"
Children didn't choose to be born.Would you consider it a good thing to hit your wife until she listens to you?Children will gladly listen to a parent that they trust and respect and you don't earn trust and respect by spanking. That will only get you resentment, "terrible twos", and "rebellious teens".
A different friend responded with the following
"I don't listen to people tell me how to raise a child unless they have one of there own! And when they do they can raise they're child as they see fit...As will I! That is freedom that is what it's all about"
So at the core of what I was thinking, it's that I don't have to be a parent to know that it's not good to hit your children because I was once a child (that was hit.) Throughout all the following comments to the meme I was always very clear that I wasn't trying to tell anyone that I was right and they should raise their kids this specific way, I was just trying to get information out there that if you spank your children they'll statistically be worse off than those that aren't spanked.

An incredible story indeed and thank you for sharing it. Reading it made me very happy for you.
I have such a long road ahead before I can say "I'm reborn".
You can look at it as being reborn and as a newborn, you can now grow.

I heard somewhere that you typically only remember the beginning and end so maybe it's best to put the better stuff at the end.
As for reparations, wouldn't everyone who's been stolen from by the involuntary society be due something?
-
I just thought of a sort of rebuttal to the "you don't have kids so you don't know" line that I'd like to share.
It's simply to remind them that you're speaking as a former child. Doesn't the experience of childhood give me enough "credit" in the debate?
I did a feeble attempt at best of a search in this forum about this so a thousand pardons if this has been posted already.

Thanks for the compliments!
Ironically, these will be mailed using US Flag stamps. I guess they assume everyone going to the post office to buy stamps is patriotic...

I think this is where you need to start. I could be wrong of course. Just my opinion.
