  1. I'd like to thank Antony Sammeroff for a great intro coaching session today! It was very relieving to talk about issues concerning e.g. motivation, procrastination, time consumption, fear of approaching potential clients etc with someone who shows real empathy and understands what it's like to be in to voluntaryism, sefl-knowledge, philosophy etc. I believe this is Antony's profile: https://board.freedomainradio.com/user/15255-loveprevails/
  2. Any FDR folks in Cape Town / South Africa? Might go there in October and would be interesting to meet other minded people there
  3. If one hypothetically were to engage in agorism, it would be preferable to be somewhat safer than by using e.g. Gmail. Any suggestions?
  4. Hi y'all - please join the group "FDR Scandinavia" on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1378600752428241/ We've started up a tradition of weekly virtual meeting for Scandinavian FDR listeners - each Sunday at 20:00 hours: https://appear.in/fdr-scandinavia (if the appear.in solution proves bad, we may change to a different platform)
  5. Sorry mate, but you base your conclusion on the assumption that one can only measure length with rulers - i.e. you consider existing technology but fail to consider possible new technologies. Rulers - as any other piece of technology - may be rendered redundant by a new technology. We already have laser based devices that can measure an object's dimensions without the use of a ruler. Now, can you imagine a world without lasers?
  6. My bad, I apologize - I am sorry that I went on an emotional rant about this, when it was clearly my own mistake - i.e. that I failed to understand the nature of this forum before posting in it. In the pursuit of self-knowledge, I should know better than to direct the frustration of my own mistakes on to others. As a result, my reputation has suffered - hope I can make it up to you guys in the future. I have changed the title and the initial post to be concise without the negativity in it. Hope you approve of it as it is now? And thanks for all your advice and elaborate responses!
  7. JamesP: I will change the phrasing if possible when I get to a desktop computer, mobile won't let me.
  8. Thanks for your explanations guys. @phuin - what kind of email system do you consider to be safe?
  9. In the specific thread that I link to above, I wrote details about my most intimate relationships that I haven't yet discussed with the people in question - because I need advice on how do proceed. What would otherwise be an appropriate place to discuss that with fellow FDR listeners? I'm aware that e.g. my gmail account is not safe from spying eyes - but at least it's not widely open to the public - only to those determined to hack it. What does it take to become a gold donator?
  10. I was surprised to find out a couple of days ago, that many (perhaps all?) forum threads/posts are public - any one can read them without logging in.I changed my avatar to an anonymous one and deleted some very personal posts in this thread:https://board.freedomainradio.com/topic/40811-primary-caregiver-separation/- and checked my other threads to see if they contained anything sensitive.I wonder why? As I see it, it counteracts what I thought was the purpose of this forum? If I want something to be completely public, I'll put it on e.g. facebook or twitter. I'd better refrain from using the forum to discuss the most sensitive topics that I would like to discuss with fellow FDR listeners.
  11. Thanks, that would be great - please do!
  12. Wow, I'm surprised that this content is visible when not logged in - it is highly personal - I don't want the whole world to be able to read it, so I'd better delete some of it.
  13. Hi, I'm Danish, married to a Dutch, currently living in Norway. I have a bunch of other Scandinavian FDR listeners as friends on Facebook. Met a few FDR folks in Amsterdam recently, the community is quite strong there, apparently - too bad I didn't realize that while I still lived in NL until February this year.
