Also: I don't like using bold in a sentence. Bold is used at the top of a paragraph or section. Like: A Consortium of Pedantics Many a men have made efforts online to thwart the style and grammar nazi's to their rightful places. However, the nazi's keep coming. Due to the nature of internet, it's easy access, computer hardware becoming more and more affordable to more and more people, combined with people from all sort of walks of life, average and below average intelligence, inability to critically judge their own thoughts and actions, the know-it-alls will persist for a while. How to Deal With Them Well, that depends on who you ask. Some will say the civil thing to do is challenge them. Others say ignore them. Others can't wrap their head around it and tell themselves "If you can't beat them, join them". My advice is: humor them. In a sarcastic manner. But keep it civilised. If you want to use bold at all.

There are loads of free file hosters. These vary in different ways. Try to look for the following services: unlimited storage capacity unlimited store duration unlimited bandwidth From my own experience, I can say http://mediafire.com/ is used a lot. It fits nearly all the above mentioned criteria. Only downside is the file-size is maximum 200 MB.

All the more reason to stay vocal, with the emphasis on anonymity. Have you ever looked into the possibilities of staying anonymous online? Like TOR, encryption on everything, proxies? Using tools like these will make it very difficult for intelligence agencies to find out who you are.

What's happening in Egypt
Iconoclastic replied to deppy's topic in New Freedomain Content and Updates
Wow, that must be hard. Living in a place like that. I can slightly imagine what it's like to live there and have people around you who are totally lost philosophically. You live in the capital Cairo? It might not help, but I consider Egypt one of the better-off countries in the middle-east. -
Well. Realise that you might have throw people in jail for not paying their speeding ticket. Also realise that a shoplifter spends less time in jail than the person with a speeding ticket. Always uphold the rule of law. Even if the law is immoral. In Dutch news today: "Thousands of 'ordinary citizens' taken hostage by CJIB" - The CJIB is the bureau that has to get the money from people who got traffic tickets, like speeding. Article in Dutch: http://www.ad.nl/ad/nl/1040/Den-Haag/article/detail/3585747/2014/01/29/Duizenden-gewone-mensen-gegijzeld-door-CJIB.dhtml

Deducing the responsibility to help others
Iconoclastic replied to square4's topic in General Messages
What's missing in the first post is: the means by which the rich man earned his food. Assuming the rich man worked for it and earned it. The rich man acknowledges the topic starters premise that it's a biological necessity. Hence he works to have the food. He did what is necessary to make sure he has food. The rich man does not have a moral obligation to provide food. He can choose to give if he wants. He should never be forced. What would be "morally valid" is to acknowledge that he earned it and has the right to choose whether or not do donate food. So yes: there is an error in argumentation.- 17 replies

@Wuzzums: ahahahaha: the satanic conspiracy run by a powerful cabal in the background. Occasionally I'll meet someone in real life who actually believes in grand conspiracies. I usually tell them: I've researched it for over two years and there's hardly any evidence/facts that validate that claim. Philosophy and economics are way better for understanding current events. @nathanm There's plenty of women who dislike "pretty-boys". Also women that want a beast-sized man (musculin/strong).

@Cosmin: perhaps in hindsight, the amount of thumbs down, is not so surprising. I assume a lot of people jump on this Bieber bashing trend. Yes a trend. Like: it's cool to bash Bieber. Something like that. And yes: it's sad.

Stefan says it well. The ferocity with which others bash him is bad. Personally I don't like his music. But I do consider him a talented young man. And he fills in for a market which is quite an achievement.

[YouTube] The Truth About Karl Marx
Iconoclastic replied to Freedomain's topic in New Freedomain Content and Updates
Nice to see Stefan covering Marx. I prefer to criticize his theories. I avoid remarks about his person/lifestyle. He was a freak though.
