I wish I had done the same. The worst part is multiple people on my Facebook feed, (who I have since unfriended / ignored) wrote, and I quote "this is the best article I have ever read" and "WOW! Greatest.Post.Ever." EDIT: How do I delete a thread? I actually don't want to bring more attention/traffic to this guy's article.

I tend to agree with Stefan. I am a musician myself who has always been accused of just being "talented". The truth of the matter is that I would sit and practice until my fingers bled, my voice gave out, and my ears were ringing nearly every day as a kid. So don't discourage yourself, pursue your passion and most of all, practice!
