I'll say this: All these mental images have taken pizza off the menu for me for a while. Especially if the place is upscale like Comet. No telling what the secret ingredients are.

People are still trying to overthrow the election results

I'm not necessarily a Trump supporter, but this is all so jive and transparent. -
A very sane and rational take on this stuff... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dQVRLrCbZs

This stuff is certainly suggestive and mind bending, but what they don't have is any known victims... Until they do, there is no crime as such to investigate. My reaction is to immediately dismiss this as absurd. But not as absurd as Jan Ervin's conflation of the name with the L'Enfant who designed Washington D.C. with all the supposed Masonic symbolism back in the 18th century. L'enfant is the name of a local bar. The shirt is from there. It could be taken as a double entendre in the right (wrong) context, but here he is standing between two adult males.

What I mean is that even if a trans woman wins against a biological woman fair and square, it will never be viewed as a clean victory by the majority of people. So from that POV the choice is simple: follow your drive to make your body and social status conform to your perceived inner identity, or compete in a serious or semi serious sport and swallow the regret about the other thing, but not both. But it seems to me that someone like Fallon Fox wants to both blend into society as a woman, and undertake a role in which that will continuously be called into question. Maturity means--among other things--accepting gracefully that some choices preclude other choices.

This is an empirical question, and we do not have to rely on speculation. Do trans women in fact always or usually win against women in such a way that can be attributed to their innate physical advantages? If they do, then that needs to be taken into account, regardless of hurt feelings. If they don't, then it is similarly a dead issue, regardless of what our gut tells us. That being said, the doubt will always be there, so I wonder why trans women insist on having their cake and eating it too...

Why are trans men never discussed?
SirrusDundle replied to SoCaliGirl's topic in Men's Issues, Feminism and Gender
You are probably correct, and personality differences between men who become women early in life, and those who do so late in life. This is one reason the TG movement as such is so suspect. -

I don't really understand the lesbian fetish so many other straight guys have. When I was growing up in the late 70s/early through mid 80s, it was not something we heard about. I'm sure it was probably a niche interest, hidden in the back rooms of certain newsstands. In fact, that was the first place i saw it manifested, in the form of a little publication called "Dykey Dormmates" or something like that. And then i didn't encounter it again until the late 90s, when it became the thing for frat bros to buy drinks for girls who would kiss each other. Anyhoo... We straight guys must be very confident people as a group, in spite of all the discouragement we face on a day to day basis. Where the less self assured would get the message that "Your services are no longer required," we hear "You can watch, and then join in, because you're so damned irresistible." -

Not to mention that all the focus is on girls and women in bathrooms, which seems to bring out the "muh property" thing in a lot of tradcon men. If biological males are so dangerous, why no concern for the boys who have had to use the men's room forever? Unlike the trannies raping women trope, this is something that's happened. -
I would still go to college, but I think I would have majored in something more employable, rather than humanities. They say money can't buy happiness, but it can buy security and autonomy, which are the most reliable prerequisites of happiness, in my opinion. Hierarchy of needs and all.

Is the "transification of children" an accurate description of what is going on? What if some children actually are trans? Also, I am not aware of any actual medical professional who advocates injecting children with hormones. They do often use puberty delaying drugs, which have been used for decades on children who display signs of premature puberty, and are to all appearances completely reversible in their effects. I believe they do give hormones to some of these kids at the time puberty would normally take place, if they are committed to that path. I think the OP was comparing the irrationality of anti gun hysterics with the irrationality of the reaction to the bathroom thing... All you've done so far is provide a case study of one set of that irrationality. Just saying.

<sarcasm alert> But in order to achieve multiculturalism, we must all strive for complete personal cultural homogeneity. Especially white people, who have no culture of their own, and must be prevented from stealing it from humans. Culture is, after all, a zero sum quality. If you take, say, a litre of culture, that means one litre less for other more deserving folk, you selfish porkface. <end sarcasm alert>

Like it or not, anarchists were the original terrorist threat back in the late 19th/early 20th centuries. Look up propaganda of the deed. Any chance of rehabilitating that word for anyone who isn't a political science major was gone long ago.

Second Wachowski Sibling Comes Out as Transgender
SirrusDundle replied to SoCaliGirl's topic in Current Events
If you--as I do--reject the claims of idealist metaphysics, I fail to see how you can credit the claims that a 50 year old biological male has somehow contained Magical Woman Essence all along, in utter contradiction of the facts of biology and sociology. But that's just me. -

Speaking of spurious quotes, Voltaire didn't say that. I have to admit it sort of makes sense, though.
