  1. I am in my 2nd year in university. Not that far into the future, I am going to need to start making money so I can live on my own and pay for my basic living costs. (My parents do that currently but I strongly desire to become financially independent). What I care most about is knowledge and philosophy. In other terms, I am a bit of a polymath with a special interest in philosophy and self-knowledge. However, this is going to be a long life pursuit and I think I am quite far away from being able to make a living out of this and thus until and if I will ever get to that point I will need to make a compromise. From what I have seen most people seem to offer this dichotomy. You either get a job or you become a successful entrepreneur doing what you love. I am really curious what you think about this 3rd option: you become an entrepreneur doing something you do not necessarily care that much about with the main purpose of making money and after you accumulated enough capital in order to be able to sustain yourself and then transition to what you actually find the most meaningful to you. Thank you in advance.
  2. What was your parent's reaction when they heard about your boyfriend's financial status? I wonder if most rich people have a default belief that if you are broke or close to that and you are already in your 20s, then you are most likely a failure, not only financially but also in all major aspect of your life. Shorter, someone whom and whose life is not good enough for someone who is well-off to get into a relationship with. Was your first reaction one of initial distaste that gradually evolved into a positive view or were you curious and non-prejudiced from the very beginning? You seem a pleasant and virtuous person Thank you for the input in the thread.
  3. I submitted my question via email for over 2 weeks now and I have gotten no response at all. I do not know how to interpret that. Is it that my question was reviewed but they did not choose it for the show or they have not seen it at all? Is it a normal occurrence for people to wait that long until they got any type of response or if it gets past 15 days, most likely, was discarded?
