I enjoyed this essay by Albert Nock. His concept of 'The Remnant' resonated profoundly with me. It occurs to me that this is how all progress sprouts in human evolution. The public preaching of Isaiah and Plato is quite similar to what our dear Stef has undertaken here. Read: https://mises.org/library/isaiahs-job Listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnZJKRGLaaE

I was just having a little heated argument over Christianity in a Facebook thread (Oh-oh. I know, I know). It was kind of fun. If you're interested and have a little time, here's the link: Keeping the Christ in Christmas A little information - The original poster is a feminist liberal, but my beef was not with her. I'm still learning about libertarianism and do not yet feel comfortable arguing about it. My FB user name is Lori Ellis Swank. The one I'm arguing with is Tiger Acuff.

"Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. " ~ Romans 13: 1-6 Blue = God put our leaders in place and we should submit to them. Red = Because god put our leaders in place rebelling against them is the same as rebelling against god. Green = Leaders wont punish you unless you conform. Cyan = Because this is the will of god... The government knows whats best for you. If you want to think against the grain watch out because governments can justify the use of force. Purple = For all these reasons, YOU MUST OBEY THE GOVERNMENT! Not just because you could get shot or go to prison but because... I SAY SO! This passage just further backs up the theory that religion is a catalyst of control. What better way to tell your citizens to obey you other than telling them its your divine right? By this logic, all of the mass genocide that has been carried out by the state is justified. Hitler, Stalin and Hussein where just enacting gods judgement on "wrong doers".
