Obama is putting children on stage with him as he announces his latest anti-gun proposal.

The White House claims that the children had written letters to Obama asking for stricter gun laws

"I know that laws have to be passed by Congress but I beg you to try
very hard to make guns not allowed. Not just for me, but for the whole
United States" ("Julia," age 11)

"It's a free country but I recommend there needs (to) be a limit with
guns. Please don't let people
own machine guns or other powerful guns like that. I think there should be a good reason to get a gun.  I think there should be a limit on how many guns a person can own ("Grant," age 8)

Gee, that doesn't sound coached at all.  All eight year-olds talk like that.

I sometimes think that I'm beyond being shocked at the depths a politician will sink to, and then one of them goes and does something like this.

I a related story, Obama is considering mandating a pony in every yard, the elimination of homework and chores such as room cleaning, along with the extension of bedtime to well past midnight.

That Julia sure is needy.  Isn't she already being carried through life thanks to Obama's policies?  Now gun control too?  Sheesh, give the dear leader a rest!

How about this for a sequestration spending cut?

When the president signs a law, don't spend any tax dollars to bring troops, children, old people, etc. to stand in the background.

Giving a child a sign to hold at a protest, giving a child a prepared statement to read- when anyone else does it, it's tacky, or it's indoctrination, but *when the state does it* it is VIRTUOUS.
