Hi. Here's a link to a philospohical study by a professor of philosophy at the university of Cape Town.  He argues that opponents of corporal punishment are wrong in saying it should never be inflicted on children. I share Stef's position on hitting children and I was maybe thinking about writing a response or making a video on this so I thought I'd bring it to the attention of the folks here and I'd like to hear your thoughts.

What you have here is an authoritarian individual with zero commitment to the NAP.

"Corporal Punishment leads to abuse"

That's the strangest phrase I've yet encountered.  It's like saying "Involuntary sex leads to rape".

All the counterarguments are consequentialist, doublespeak nonsense.

Look at this: "Research into possible links between corporal punishment and abuse has proved inconclusive so far"...WTF?

Sorry TeaBagger, these are some really bad arguments.

Can you give a counterexample. I have no time to read that wall of text. Corporal punishment is the initiation of force and is always immoral.

So, I don't know about David Benatar, who he is or anything, but that website... has pictures of people who've been hit in schools, all around the world, and scans of news articles, comics, and commentary on the subject, going back a long time.  The website is probably maintained as a store of pornography.
