siking Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Coming across Hellinger's work was as revolutionary to my thinking as coming across Steph's and in the same way the ideas jar at first and then become part of a natural way of thinking. Hellinger's observations on group dynamics, particularly within the family of origin, and especially his family constellation workshops would fascinate Steph and many of his listeners. Hellinger's findings would not contradict any of Stephan's conclusions on peaceful parenting, but would put them in a broader context that helps explain why some children do well in the most desperate of circumstances and others fail in the best of them. Stephan keeps coming closer to Hellenger's principles, and like most successful people, knows them instinctively, but exposure to them would make the process more transparent. Hellenger has much to say on the organisation of groups which is also vital if we are to achieve a free society. One of the most fascinating aspects of Hellinger's work is that it turns out there are rules for groups, which, if obeyed help stregnthen any group, and which if violated, harms everybody in the group in ways that may not be immediately obvious. There are many experts in family constellations (and I am not one) but I would recommend this field as a source of interest. This is just a place to start. http://vitalitymagazine.com/article/family-constellations/
