Miss Valeska Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I haven't seen much, If anything posted on the subject of transgender on the forums. Nor have I ever heard Stefan talk about it, I think it would be very helpful if it was discussed more. Here is a quote for those who don't know. " Hiya! I wanted to give an explanation of transgender, Transgender is basically when your gender is one time, And your sex is another. Gender being you, Your mind, Your brain, And sex being your body. They have done studies, And, The brains of these people, Are identical to the brains of the average people of that gender. People who's bodies are the same as their mind's, Are called cis-gendered. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10843193http://www.lauras-playground.com/trans_choice.htmhttp://www.majickalproductions.biz/bekasite/resouces/In-Womb%20Development.htm"
cherapple Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I'd be interested in hearing Stef's thoughts on this as well. There are several transgenered people that I've met or seen in the FDR community.
empyblessing Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I'm curious if most transgenders come from single mother homes.
Miss Valeska Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 They have done studies, As I listed above. It is not environmental, It is physical differences in the brain that occur prior to birth. More over, There have been a multitude of studies over a long period of time, Confirming that, Men and women do have physically different brains, That function in different ways.Gender is not related to the body, Or genitals, But to who you are a person, To your brain, Your mind.
empyblessing Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 My parents are divorced, But, I have gone to both houses, Mostly my dad's. They have done studies, As I listed above. It is not environmental, It is physical differences in the brain that occur prior to birth. Well let me say that I'm sorry for any pain or hatred you've suffered because you were born different. It must have been terrible to grow up so confused or forced into a role you weren't suited for. You have my sympathy. I did not mean to imply that it was environmental, not directly anyway. The mother's mental state can effect prenatal development and her mental state is dependent on environment.
Miss Valeska Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 Yeah, *hugs you tightly* Thank you
