hkw Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Hey, everyone! My friend and I are starting a new business selling philosophical T-shirts. Would you take a few minutes to respond to this survey and let us know about your philosophical t-shirt preferences? One lucky survey responder will win a $25 certificate to Amazon.com.http://www.voluntarytees.biz/survey-feb-2013I'm hoping that the t-shirt designs will either immediately or soon include Freedomain Radio t-shirts, but have not yet discussed that with Stef. The market shall dictate!
SimonF Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I rarely go out wearing a t-shirt, if I have one on it's to bum around the house. I prefer stylish casual hoodies or polo shirts. So how about something more up market? Or will people not spend more money to make political and philosophical statements? Must they forever be consigned to t-shirts?
hkw Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 Hey Simon,Thanks for your feedback. I think it's a fair question. However, I must say that I don't think I've ever seen an article of "upscale" clothing that was branded by something other than a clothing company. Given the donation rates and other signs of financial investment in philosophy, I am skeptical that many philosophers would go for this. However, if the niche is large enough, I'm more than happy to try to serve that market segment. :-)
courtneycm Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Filled it out. Will pass the word along for you!
hkw Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 Thanks courtney, that's very kind of you.
Brandon Buck _BB_ Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 LMAO... "What size t-shirt do you normally wear?" I had to laugh. Because that number does fluctuate, doesn't it? Thanks and good luck with your venture, I'll definitely be a customer.
Kevin Beal Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I wear my FDR T from spreadshirt all the time! The black one with the logo on the front and back. I was actually considering buying another FDR shirt. I would definitely be interested in seeing some new designs. A hoodie would interest me as well. My favorite ideas were the quotes! I thought it was cool that Jeffrey Tucker was included in the shirt themes and a bowtie shirt does actually seem like a fun idea There was a funny comment on youtube about Jeff that said "Some people wear Superman pajamas. Superman wears Jeffrey Tucker pajamas."
