Looking for Roommates in Colorado Springs

Greetings Coloradans,In my quest for the frontier (and much needed distance between me and the family), I'm hitchin' the horses and heading west.  Wondering if someone needs a roommate to fill a cheap room.  I'm clean, quiet, and an anarcho-capitalist...so basically the best roommate ever.  However, I can't cook worth a damn.

How do you like Westminster and the Denver area?  I'm choosing CO Springs because it seems to be the sweet spot of dryness, sunshine, and mild temperatures.  No job lined up, just some savings and a metaphorical prayer.

I think the Springs and Denver will probably be very similar in terms of climate, with Colorado Springs being a little more into the foothills than Denver is.

In terms of jobs and savings, it really depends what you're looking for.  You'll probably need reliable transportation in either place, though I think your savings might go a little further in Colorado Springs.  I would think that the job market in Denver would be a little larger for a job seeker, but I haven't tried looking in the Springs for work.

One thing that would keep me away from that area personally is the presence of the military base just north on I-25 as well as that Focus on the Family (a conservative Christian organization) calls that area home as well.

But you get religion and military in Denver as well, depending where you stand.  There are also several federal installations in Denver, which I definitely feel ambivalent around.

I'll expand my job search to Denver and see what bites. Thanks for the info, James.

Connect request sent.  Yeah, CompEng degree back in 2010, and I'd still categorize my experience/skills as intern or junior level.
