I've been on quite a roll lately by posting stuff here.  I was wondering... when do you think the state will be revealed as just "just another giant stone cow.  I'm referring to one of my favorite videos Stef has ever done (

).  My prediction will be by the 2100's... It's just my prediction.  I hope it's coming soon.

I expect much sooner than that.  The reason is that the trajectory of technology will transform the world at an ever-accelerating rate, and the state will simply not be able to keep up.  Top-down management of an increasingly decentralized world will simply not work for long.

Who knows?  We still don't know the full power of the web.  Might happen sooner than any of us think.  Things are accelerating.

Very true, as time goes by more and more... things really accelerate at quite a rate.

I think there's a vast number of people already doubting the power of the state. The fact that its wrongdoings are much more blatant these days, you'd be an idiot not to recognize it.

I think this is the kind of view one would take if they were, as many of us are, over-exposed to the non-traditional media of liberty movements on the internet. Not to be a complete cynic here, but I travel (too much) for business these days and the only voices I hear in critique of the State are those who believe that their own State apparatus could do the job better. While it's true that free market folks have cropped up in record numbers (relative to what I expected years ago), they're still an infinitely small minority in a sea of people who are quite willing to grasp at every political straw within reach.

If there is not a gobal shift toward much more authoratarian power before any kind of repreieve, I would be pleasantly suprised.

If they don't let Adam Kokesh go, a lot more people are going to hear a lot more things pretty quick!

Has he been jailed again?

And in any event, what people are going to say what to whom and about what?

Sorry if that sounded pedantic, but I think the idea that mere people (as in, non-political-players) speaking up about something makes a bit of diffirence flys in the face of history and indulges far too much into the mythology that we live under a wonderous social contract democracy which represents us all as "equals," before the just and impartial laws.

When will the state be revealed as the giant stone cow it is?

My first thought is about 160 years ago by Lysander Spooner but, I'm sure he wasn't the first. Although I would argue he was the most articulate to that point.

When will a plurality of people stop ignoring this truth?

Just my opinion, but I bet they could execute him and there wouldn't be even a whimper from the general public. I don't think he's well known beyond the liberty movement.

For example, I had to explain who he was to my wife.
