Skorge91 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Hey All, This thing was all kinds of frustrating for me. I really would love to see Stef do a one on one convo with the screamer about his early childhood. [View:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mChqQhRhwwY] Anyone have the new contact information to send an email to Stef? I work in one of the last remaining free markets (the reptile breeding industry) and would love to come on to talk about everything that encompasses our market (profits, insurances, DROs, etc). We use all of these things to conduct business. Just figured I could give in depth knowledge that everyone can use in their debates when talking to people about free markets vs. regulations. Thanks, -Chris
d3spwn Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I find it increasingly hard to watch these discussions that get bogged down in utilitairian arguments. Especially when the counterparty to Stefan seems to ignore his arguments and just keeps on bringing up more objections based on specific examples. I'd like to see more discussions where Stef boils down the argument to the morality of it.
MysterionMuffles Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I agree. The crack head who kept interrupting needs his past debunked to see why he's so goddamn abrasive and evasive. I'm half hour into it right now, and I'm trying my hardest to rationalize everything that is being talked about.
Wesley Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Yea, the video was somewhere between entertaining and frustrating, often moving between the two in the same minute. Stefan also seemed frustrated with the talking over and general non-rebuttal like "Well I just don't belive that" which to me felt eerily similar to religious fantasies (I was very happy when Stef pointed it out as "magical thinking"). I would hope that atheists who claim rationality as the virtue by which they measure the lack of a god would be more rational in their approach to politics and debate rather than trying to have a yelling contest.
