Sean
The book of secrets had very universal principles like objective morality. He didn't call it objective morality though but I knew what he was talking about. This was pre fdr
MysterionMuffles
Not heavily, but I did buy plenty of books of his only because Eckhart Tolle only has two I loved Book of Secrets, but I could barely remember it now, I might give it another shot. One I do sort of remember is Reviving the Body, Resurrecting the Soul and in that one he talks about how certain emotions have specific body points it affects. Also how damn important it is to align the mind and body through proper nourishment, in not just food, but also thought consumption.
Existing Alternatives
I’ve read a couple of his books (The Ultimate Happiness Prescription, The Third Jesus, etc.). I find his approach to life in general to be very peaceful and relaxing. Most helpful piece of information I got out was to always check whether your opinion of others is simply a reflection of your own actions. I often find myself disliking someone just to realize that it was me being dickish and change in my attitude / actions may improve my opinion of the other person. MysterionMuffles
Oh, yeah, glad you brought that up. I forgot that's where my mirror perception came from. It comes from Deepak's work. The idea that whatever you like or dislike in others are usually aspects within yourself you accept or deny. I forget which book had this, but there was an exercise where you write a list of people that you love and people that you hate, and you have to write a list of virtues and vices you find in them before looking within yourself to see if you share those same virtues or vices. Pretty eye opening if you ask me.
