BrentMcCulloch Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I found this piece in the new york times to be one of the most emotionally-charged articles on economics i've ever read, it might be a good one for Stefan to disect. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/13/opinion/how-austerity-kills.html
Guest darkskyabove Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 "Fiscal policy, it turns out, can be a matter of life or death." (from the article) Of course, no mention that "his" ideas for fiscal policy are what has caused the problem to begin with. Here's the two standard choices: Fascists (Republicans, "conservatives") will protect you from the moment of conception until you're born, then you're on your own. Socialists (Democrats, "liberals") will protect your right to do whatever you want, you just won't be able to afford it. These are the kinds of people that make it hard for me to stick with non-aggression.
