Voluntari Posted June 7, 2013 Share Posted June 7, 2013 How do you negotiate / explain to the very young (between 1 and 2 years old) ? As our son has grown up (he's almost two), it's easier because he understands more and more every day, but it doesn't matter in some situations. He sometimes does things just to get reactions, like knock over drinks, spill food on the ground, bang his toys on glass tables, etc... and understands that he's not supposed to, but does it anyway repeatedly after we kindly tell him not to because it will break his toys or break the table.
