I am highly interested in Stefan Molyneux taking a high dose of Psychedelics and then giving us his take on the experience he has. If you agree, post here. I think it would be highly informative and educational for us all.

Yes I realize this is my first post.

Yes I am serious.

No I am not trolling.

Ha, good one, but no. Legitimate psychedelics which dissolve boundaries of belief structures. I posted this in self knowledge because I really do think they help with that and it would probably be an invaluable experience for you. If Stefan, who is a constant seeker of the truth, takes psychedelics and makes a video about it, I'm sure it could be highly interesting.

I do think the link between state suppression regarding psychedelics and the disruption of state controlled society by psychedelics (hippy  era) is pretty interesting. People who have done psychedelics in a structured manner with an objective to find stuff out do seem to have become proto-anarchists and come to a place where they value community, bonding and empathy. And it seems helpful for traumatized people, to resolve (childhood) traumas. But I don't think one needs psychedelics to arrive at these intellectual destinations.Linkdump: http://youtu.be/D48Wm3ewx-w ("Hofmann's Potion" on LSD; financed/subsidized by the Canadian Filmboard :)) & http://youtu.be/OpSLjdPiSH8 (DMT: The Spirit Molecule).

I feel all funny reading this. I don't think it's a good idea, especially with the War on Drugs. I don't see how it would help with the quality of the content and I can see how it could cause harm to the community, say if Stef was kidnapped by the boys in blue. What I want to ask is what your personal experience has been with these substances, if you've had any? Also, what insights have you gained, if any, and how do you think these drugs helped you attain these realizations?

Why does it make you feel all funny? Also, this isn't the wackjob domain radio this is the FreeDomainRadio it's about Stefan not me.

He has a family.

Implying he can't take a psychedelic?

Well, I do watch the mainstream media from time to time, does that count?

I think this only counts as a bad trip =)

i would not ask you to do any thing your against but if you somehow slipped and fell in to a pot of DMT i would be interested in your experience.

A constant seeker of the truth doesn't do things because there's a "petition".

Adam Kokesh has made a series of videos where he takes DMT on-camera and describes his experiences. Search YouTube for adam kokesh dmt

He has a dependent child. That is a reason not to do something potentially risky. This could be ameliorated with alot of very scientific data showing no risk, i was recently told it is the safest drug but i don't know.

Its Illegal, due to his rational self interest it would be no kosher for him to risk harm to himself, another reason not to. Even if its objectivly safe, due to the threat of the state his responsability is to his family comes back to the fore front.soooo, he would have to go to a place where it were safe to do it, after learning that it is objectivly safe and harbors no risk.

Unless an outside source were willing to supply all the resources to do all this, I'd rather he direct his time and FDR resources to the documentary.

Aafter all that... Yeah, it might be interesting to see, if he thought it were an acceptable idea.

Taking psychedelics is not a mental risk for someone as stable as Molyneux, I don't know why you are all acting like it would be such a dangerous thing.

There are more risks than mental. Like the state throwing him in jail.

I can tell you from experience. Learning philosophy rationally and sober was more thought provoking than any psychedelic experience I ever had. And I had a few back yonder too.

Not too mention, have you ever been around someone on acid. It's seriously like being around a person with altziemers.

Unresolved emotional childhood trauma.

Hmm... I get the feeling that you are trying to provoke anger in me.

I was only attempting to show you Stefan's view in the past on drugs and correctly illustrate some of the risks that are present.

I have not expressed agreement or disagreement with the idea of Stefan being on psychedelics.

The edits to the first post where you claim that I have signed the petition (as well as some others in this thread) is a bit disingenuous.

It would be like dumping year old gas from the lawnmower into an F1 race car engine.  Why would you want Stef's mind to be impaired in any way?  Yes, I mean impaired.  Nothing is so oversold and over-reviewed positively in this world as the effects of drugs.

Petitions are supposed to have a certain quota to reach in order for the goal to be achieved. And the signing needs to be voluntary. Just because someone posts here, doesn't mean they agree to it. Try finding a petition making site and see how many people actually want to sign it of their own choice.

I doubt Stef would want to agree to this, but if he did, it would be his choice to come up with a number of signatures required before he goes through with it.

But hey, I wouldn't really take this thread seriously. Wackjob, welcome to the boards and all that good stuff, I hope you find value in engaging more important issues. The past two days I've seen you in the chatroom, looks like you already have. This thread though is kind of counter productive lol.

Right...., Yeah his video on drugs is....I'd really like to see him try psychedelics and then make a new vid about them. All I have to say about that.

Stephan seems to enjoy alcohol and caffiene... Has he been oversold to?

Sorry, I should clarify, I'm referring to the more lofty psychedelic stuff that carries with it all these life-changing claims of expanding your mind and becoming one with the universe and giving you a whole new perspective on things etc.  Those sorts of claims.  Such claims are not made for alcohol and caffeine.

Posted

And how would those claims be enough to substantiate your claim that it would be like pouring year old gas into an F1 racecar? Why do you think it would "Impair" him?

Producing mood changes or distorted perceptions; hallucinogenic: a mind-altering drug.

Many would consider anything the distorts one's view of reality to be by definition an impairment especially when Stef's entire job is to best describe and create connections about reality.

Read my post above, wackjob. I obviously don't support your petition, to please take my name off your list. Don't be a dick.

It is a dick move to "sign our names for us" when we don't even agree, but it is also meaningless.

The second name is Stefan himself, who would actually be the only person who he would need to sign/convince of the proposition in order for it to be done.

Thus, every name that exists after Stefan's name is at the absolute best completely unnecessary.

Of course, as long as Stefan doesn't do this, Stefan's name on the list also proves that the whole list is stupid and meaningless anyway, so whatever he thinks he is accomplishing by saying we signed his list isn't being accomplished.
