PhilipJ
Might tattoo's be nothing more than the "pain decorations" of an abuse victim? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8un9OFywE8
nathanm
Tattoos: Omnipresent art with no eraser and no Undo? No thanks! The eye contact issue makes your videos a bit strange to watch. Are you reading notes from a screen or are you looking at yourself in a viewfinder?

aFireInside
I think this is true. When I was a teen I got lip piercings and ear gauges because I wanted people to notice me. I would have gotten tattoos if I could. I couldn’t scream for help so that’s what I did. Now all that I have are scares...
Panoptic
Wow thank you so much for your view on tattoos. I have been thinking about getting a tattoo for a while now, but I have been designing it myself and was planning on getting it someday. I really should think about the real reasons I want it. PatrickC
Yes, the only time I ever seriously considered a tat was whilst I was living in Australia and I was living within this surfers commune in Nimbin (east coast). Looking back now, with the odd exception, those folk were obsessed with having tats in the most painful of areas, such as underarms or around ankles. I remember holding a girls hand as she had her ankle done and she was weeping throughout the whole session. I asked the tatooist to stop to see whether she wanted him to carry on. She was like, 'no, no, carry on'. I decided there and then that I was never going to entertain the idea of having one.
