Josh F Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I have become a big Marc Maron fan because of his recent podcast WTF. His politics in the past were very leftists and generally turned me off from him. He has since completely given up on politics and now does an interview style podcast. He is a VERY emotionally deep guy. He has some gut wrenching and deep episodes where people talk about their drug addiction, suicide attempts, child abuse, etc. He is VERY empathetic and intelligent and wonderful and I recommend you guys check it out.
BrianBrian Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 His ability to reason is quite poor, evidenced by his comments on the Trayvon Martin case on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast guest appearance. Also I've heard him say that he has given up talking politics on his podcast, not that he's given up on politics altogether. But I think what he really meant is that he has tempered his focus on the subject instead of avoiding it completely. He is still markedly leftist also evidenced in his comments on the podcast mentioned above.
Omega 3 snake oil Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I do listen to his podcast, mainly because of the quality of guests (Bryan Cranston, Jon Hamm). And his latest comedy special is solid. But yeah the dude is no philosopher.
