vivosmith Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Hello. A friend of mine ha sbeen dealing with mild autism (aspergers) and has been seeking help. The therapy sessions have helped a tad, but it seems like wherever he goes (he has been to multiple therapist/religious counsellors ) and they basically say that things will work out in the long run . He is intelligent, but his social cognition is not always up to par. Any suggestions to improve his circumstances? He has lived where he has been living for 5 years, but has not really put down roots, even though he was originally born here. He also suffered a loss of his father a few years ago. Any thoughts?
Naer Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Has your friend been exposed to excess video games in his developing years?
vivosmith Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Actually yes. He has been playing less video games for about 4 years. It seems to have done a number on him since his systems were in storage. Now he plays less, although he still likes it, he has other interests as well.
Guest Exceptionalist Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Yeah, aspies can devote themselfs entirely to their special interests.

Makes you awkward in the real world especially not being taught the value of real currency and mistakening video game currency as something of greater value than universal currency. My website is www.onefamous.org I made a small post about this there. Leave me a comment if you want
