This would surprise me, Do you know the source? I did find some evidence that Hayek compromised on some of capitalist principles http://mises.org/journals/jls/12_2/12_2_6.pdf.b This critique from Walter Block seems interesting.

It may sound pretty bad to a Rothbardian ancap, but we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
