On the latest podcast w/ Brody Stevens Joe Rogan mentions that Stefan Molyneux will be coming on again sometime soon.

Joe is basically a reluctant statist, based on his podcast with Adam Kokesh. I suspect Stefan can make a much better case though, so I would like to see this discussion.

In chat, MMD said it would be early January. Obviously we will see when it actually happens.

And Stefan is actually going to Joe's studio to get the full Joe Rogan Experience!

You have to remember he makes a living off of a statist institution. There is no polite way he can just come out and start revealing that he is an anarchist. That would be career suicide. I do respect him though, he is doing so much with what he has been givien. I recently was very moved by his podcast with Phil Demers. Absolutely heartbreaking accounts of animal torture.

He is an actor, host, and comedian. How does he make a living off of a statist institution?

The UFC. I'm not saying it is a government organization, just that it has ties to government at every level. One of it's major sponsors is the US military.

I am looking as much as I can and it appears that the US Marines have sponsored UFC. They do not seem to be a biggest supporter and I have not yet seen a logo on the mat or on a uniform (though maybe it is at some point).

Probably every mainstream news, TV, radio, etc has had an ad from some military or government thing at some point. I don't consider someone who hosts a show on a station that once had a government sponsor to be getting their money from a statist organization.

I do not think it will matter if Joe Rogan becomes an anarchist. As long as he still hosts the UFC effectively or whatever he does, it should not matter at all.

They do entire shows for the military. Fight for the troops. I think you are right but why would he even risk it?

Risk what?  The us and them thing is a little too thick.  Does he use violence to force people to do things?  No?  Anarchist.

If he doesn't speak about his political views then does it even matter that he is an anarchist in a public capacity?

Anarchy is only one relevant application of the NAP.  He advocates, frequently, for peaceful parenting, negotiations, not using violence, etc.  And he isn't a tote the line statist, at most he is a dispassionate participant in a system he knows is corrupt.

The Adam Kokesh podcast would be good prep for Stef (as well as interesting to FDR listeners).

If I remember correctly, Joe was pretty open to the ideas and was doing ok on things. A productive 3 hour show on his side. I think most of the negativity from the ideas came from Redban. It has certainly been a while since I listened, so I could be totally off, but that is how I remember it.
