ProfessionalTeabagger
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGuNpn7m_g4 Fantastic, fascinating video by extremely well dressed You Tuber, Davis M.J Aurini. He talks about absolute truth and why things degenerate without it. It has similarities to some of Stef's ideas, particularly Stef's criticism of minarchy and the USA going from the smallest, freest state to the largest. LuckyNumber23
There is no such thing as absolute truth. You can either construct statements starting from axioms, then deducting from those. If a statement is derived correctly, it is true within that system. Or you can make statements bottom up. In this case, simple statements can be true or false, but you check them, you need to set up hypotheses. And these should be set up in such a way, that they can be falsified easily. Theories don't becomem more true by adding confirming observations.http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/truthlikeness/
TheRobin
strange guy, basically invents another realm of "truth" that requires "faith" and then scares you what horrible things happen if you lack this "truth" (oh, where did we hear that one before )
