Filosophize Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Wasn't sure what I would be getting when I watched this... Turned out to be a psychoanalysis of popular movies and culture. I could see Stefan and this community being very interested in watching this... Here is a link http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2152198/
Qualia Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I found the thought of needing 'Fiction' to sustain 'Reality' a very interesting topic to wrestle with. What did you take away from the movie?.
greekredemption Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Alarm bells should be ringing when you realise this film is a 'psychoanalysis' of [x]. Well, yes, it is exactly that - it takes old-fashioned and outmoded Freudian and Lacanian psychological models and poses them as philosophy. Slavoj Zizek may well be seen, and come across, as a 'rock and roll philosopher' but good god he is not in any way to be taken seriously.
