RealP Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Verbal abuse of children is some pretty funny shit, right?
MysterionMuffles Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 whoa it's freaky how they can repeat so strongly...that kid at 1:20 looks so sad
Kaki Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Darius wrote a very good article about the costs of pranking children the way Jimmy Kimmel encourages it on his show. You can read the article on his blog self-archeology. Very worth reading: http://blog.selfarcheology.com/2014/03/playing-with-childs-trust-is-harmful.html
alexqr1 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Mothers calling their kids stupid is so funny, I was hoping the camera man would spit on the kids faces too that would have been hilarious... What a sick society we live in.
dsayers Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 The staff for that show must be really sleazy to be so out of material that they have to cite a statistic, not at all explore the reason behind any of it, and instead focus on one of the more wretched manifestations of it.
Clay Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 This confirms everything I'm learning to be true about how most parents treat their children. The fact that some of this stuff got big laughs is quite disturbing, especially when the kids mentioned the word "stupid" as if their parents have called them stupid. That's really upsetting to me, and it makes me angry that people are laughing at it. I have to admit that there was a brief moment in the video that I did find some humor in, and i couldn't help but laugh a little bit. The little boy at the end who seemed particularly confident and happy,at least in contrast to the rest of the kids. I'm not at all bothered by the fact that he used "bad words", or that his parents have used those words around him, because nothing in his behavior indicates to me that they do it in a way that is hurtful or intimidating to him. It's almost as if he viewed those "bad words" as a source of amusement and fun, and didn't feel threatened by them at all. Did anyone else feel this way?
RealP Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 I found another gem by this hoot. Oh, the irony of having a fat, sweaty middle-aged Tooth Fairy place a lie detector on a child
alexqr1 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I found another gem by this hoot. Oh, the irony of having a fat, sweaty middle-aged Tooth Fairy place a lie detector on a childThese fucking assholes!!!When a child-bully bullies a child they blame the bully, when an adult-bully bullies a child it is funny as hell.'What if instead of a child they were bulling a black guy or a woman or a Hispanic person? That would be a problem because bullying adults is just wrong. This legitimizes laughing at a kid and taking advantage of him, but since it is a child and it is on TV then it is OK, hell it is better than OK, it is funny TV.I mean look at the kid's face, especially on the second half of the video. Does it look like he is having a share of the fun? or is he just the object at which sick fucks are having fun at the expense of?
