I would have expected inaction, but the laughter and even encouragement was surprising to me. Thanks for posting those videos, I found them interesting.

I don't know how it is in other places of the world, but in N. America the very word abuse is synonymous with the concept of man=bad, woman=victim.

The white knight programming instilled in young boys, whether it's genetic or cultural, is a huge barrier to telling the truth about female aggression.

The humour that's found in violence against males is a huge barrier for getting people to take seriously the symmetry of gender in violence, you'll notice that it's mostly women that find it funny.

Another big issue is this taboo of men defending themselves against women, as a man the idea of defending yourself against a women who is being violent is daunting because it's seen as wrong by so many people, even if it's legitimate self defense. Paul Elam and co talk about a female getting slugged in a clear case of self defense in this video and still there was hysteria about a woman getting injured.

Things like the dominant aggressor policies in the violence against women act (VAWA) mean that if you're a domestic violence situation and you're attacked by a female partner then you call the police, you're more likely to be arrested, even if you never laid a hand on her and simply want to defuse the situation.

World gone mad.

There's some dreadful stories on AVfM by MGTOWs and other people who have been on the receiving end of violence and even rape, one recent article had the police telling a man who was the subject of rape that men cannot be raped and that filing a false rape claim would land him prosecuted for wasting police time.

Not only is violence against men ignored as a problem, not only has it become impossible to seek justice for, but what really rustles my jimmies is that it's seen as comical. One famous example is in women's daytime TV where they laugh and make fun of a guy who's wife cuts off his penis -

They're actually forced through complaints to apologize on air and they don't take it seriously or do it with any sincerity. Now imagine if this was an opposite story about how a man cut off both his wifes tits and then on a male talk show a bunch of men stood around laughing about it and joking.

There's not much more of a striking example of how society see's violence against men and women differently.
