Does anyone think that a forum plugin like this might be nice to have to help connect with other FDR listeners in their area? Would the admins be interested in implementing such a thing?

I think @JamesP was the one who put it together, if I remember rightly. The best way to meet people locally might be by starting your own meetup location and then invite people to join you.
