"We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt." "We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions." "We believe—I can't believe I have to say this in 2014—we believe in equal pay for equal work." Clay Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 "We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt." Elizabeth Warren was paid $429,981 as a Harvard law professor from 2010 to 2011. sauce: http://www.masslive.com/politics/index.ssf/2012/01/elizabeth_warren_got_nearly_43.html
shirgall Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Whose this "we" The whole thing is rich for parody, but it was actually considered one of her better speeches.
NGardner Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Yea that's a great wish list. I would like a lambo in my driveway but it COSTS MONEY!!! These dreamers need to experience a small dose of reality.
Magnus Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 "We believe that equal means equal, and that's true in marriage, it's true in the workplace, it's true in all of America." Equal means equal, huh? So, what you're saying is that equal equals equal. 3
NameName Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I could only stomach the first one and didn't read the rest. "We believe that Wall Street needs stronger rules and tougher enforcement, and we're willing to fight for it." If this were a commandment, something that is to be constant, then it wouldn't make any sense as any level of enforcement would never be enough as it always needs to be "Tougher". This is impossible. This woman is functionally retarded, not surprisingly, she is practically the God of young liberals.
fractional slacker Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Warren and her Marxist rhetoric has the intellectual merit worthy of a Cracker Jack Box. Her and John Stuart are competing for lead role to be emulated in the much anticipated sequel to Idiocracy.
