Interview Suggestion: Mark Manson (Dating, Women, Alpha, Beta)

I think this guy has some interesting things to say. I consider his brand the "FreedomainRadio" of the dating world.

He argues that in todays society and in ancient times the vulnerable, emotionally healthy, honest men were the Alphas not the betas.

Thanks for posting this. His definition of vulnerability was always something I greatly admired but never had a name for because I too took "vulnerable" to be synonymous to "weak". The closest I had gotten to describe it is "comfortable in one's own skin".

A fictional character that fits his descriptions perfectly is Al Swearengen from the tv-show Deadwood. I've been fascinated by the character for years and now I can finally put it in words.

In improv, what often generates the biggest laughs and cheers are not jokes and silly antics, but spontaneous discoveries made by allowing oneself to be vulnerable and trust their and their partner(s) sub-conscious to play the scene in the present.  ;)

I agree with the linked articles in descriptions of (soft) power in honesty (vulnerability). It's similar to how flexibility can be improved by stretching, and the ease of mobility is likely to aid in one's quality of life.

Thank you for posting the links!  :turned:
