pluMmet
Hey there... New guy here I've been listening and loving the ideas of Non-Violence. I have not seen a topic that I think is crucial and given the voice I think it needs. I'd like to list some scenarios about “choice” and how it plays into who we are. 1. I've seen it that a Judge when ruling on matters of privacy that the government had not violated any laws because the citizens did not expect to be unmonitored. (Choice not even mentioned) 2. People get married and pledge honest devotion to each other while never expecting that the other would do this one huge unacceptable thing that they end up doing (as a result of all the little leading things that are a departure for what they each expected of each other.) Now they choose to part from each other. 3. A young adult going off to collage and give choices they have never been given and going nuts. 4. *The “choice” label from the abortion/anti-abortion issue that is secondary or even terciary to why the woman has gotten into the place where she now has to make this choice. Choices that lead to this unavoidable choice. 5. People getting some form of wealth and or success then “changing” due to all the choices. 6. Manditory schooling and being thrown into an environment that is not acceptable and given no choice to opt-out and that leading to all sorts of conflict and potentialy hopless choices a child must then make. 7. Trying to limit others exposure in order to not allow a choice that you think they are not ready to make. This could be a controlling boyfriend/girlfriend a government or a parent. 8. Giving a child a choice without prepairing them for it. a.k.a. child screaming for some fast food or some item as a result of being given and now expecting certain choices. All this is only made possible due to there being no general public awareness to the school of Choice. The step by step way to see how choice can be a double edged sword and how this mastery improves people and how a child/person is neglected by not being schooled specifically in Choice. I was hoping that Stefan might focus on these concepts for a show topic. Example: If we have screaming children than perhaps we don't know how to make good choices ourselves and were not able to teach that skill to them? ________________________________________________________________________________________ *The snowballing of bad choices and how to nip that in the bud?
