freedumb123
I'd love to have someone to talk to that isn't a statist and is currently pursuing the same career as I am.

QueechoFeecho
Libertarianism seems to have a higher representation amongst actuaries based on my experience. Even moreso for atheism. I'm an ASA.

QueechoFeecho
It's not too much of a surprise. It's a mathematical field, so you get people with both interest in and talent with logic. Plus it has built-in meritocracy in the exam system. You pass an exam, you get a raise. You don't have to kiss ass or play office politics to increase your income. Just study, work, learn, and pass the exam.
