I've found an article (it's in russian - http://vishka.livejournal.com/217836.html)

It's about sexual intercourse or relationship with a child.Author says that often it's not the sex itself that makes phychological trauma for child, but societal pressure on the case.

She starts article from this story and provides links for 2 books on the subject:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/106971352/TheTraumaMyth.pdf - The Trauma Myth. The Truth About the Sexual Abuse of Children and It's Aftermath

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/106971352/HarmfulToMinors.pdf - Harmful To Minors. The Perils of Protecting Children from Sex.

I thought it worth sharing.

Can you give a brief of the arguments, I already feel disgusted and I don't want to end up on some child molestation IP list?

I had a strong emotional kneejerk reaction to this at first.

But I have only taken a brief look in the books thus far and they seem to advocate for consensual child-on-child sexual and bodily exploration. I'm certainly not against this. This should not be an issue in my opinion.

Sorry for the downvote. I was getting the impression that this was defending people's desire to molest children. Thanks for the article as I now see what The Trauma Myth is. Molestation isn't always physical force, and sometimes children are groomed for it in a way that makes them believe they are consenting to the twisted affections of pedophiles. I always understood that and I guess that's what this woman's work is really trying to convey. I'll restore your rep through your latest post which made for a quicker and more concise understanding.

Summary view is that the act that happens is not always traumatic from the child's point of view, but the response by those close to the child can have serious long term consequences.

I first looked into this subject around 1990 and learned that most adults blow it out of proportion by they way they respond to the child; the venom should justly be to the one committing the crime and not at the innocent child. That's what this is about.

They don't view it as traumatic because they get groomed into thinking it's an act of genuine affection, but that doesn't mean it causes trauma to the brain having experienced sexual activity before their minds and bodies have matured enough to understand what's really going on.

I think the assumption of current age of consent laws are crazy. The mixing of actual consent and the socially allowed consent is the problem the blogger addresses.Once a person has a clear understanding of the actions involved and their possible outcomes, I'd say that is when they can consent, even if they are very young - or, in the case of the mentally handicapped, quite old [i'd imagine certain mentally handicapped people could NEVER consent].
