What type of job minimizes the chance you will be placed by your employer on a gov. project, or required to implement unjust laws, or your company starts receiving massive subsidies, more than they loose in taxes, and they are becoming an agent of the state? I'm guessing it would be best to do what your best at/have a passion for and let the rest of the chips lie where they may. (That's probably not a very helpful or profound statement... but I hope it helps.) Another way of looking at it is the "box thinking" problem where trying to think outside the box is still thinking in relation to the box. If you really want to be a doctor, for example, but decide not to because of the nationalizing of medicine, then you are sacrificing your desired career due to political decisions. (Maybe you'll decide it actually wasn't what you wanted to do despite the difficulties, which would be a good thing in the long run; maybe you'll continue to practice medicine somewhere where doctors are treated better?) Josh Takacs Posted October 29, 2014 Share Posted October 29, 2014 Even then your being stolen from and supporting immoral behavior thought taxation but this is the way of the world right now unless you want to live in the middle of nowhere and live off the land. I find for me its best to just not be a "willing" participant. Follow the law to stay out of jail but don't think it is moral and say so. Pay the tax but don't fall for the "common good" line and say so. Be civil about it be let everyone know you are not a willing participant in this violent system. Know where and what you stand and know how to communicate it. Don't be docile live stock. Buck at the harness kick at the fence and speak of true freedom and morality with pride when asked. Or when you already have a particular job, what is an advisable way to deal with this issue? Software is almost entirely unregulated, though with IP there are some lawsuits.
