Kaki Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 It is soon time for this years nanowrimo and I was wondering if anyone here is taking part! If you have not heard about nanowrimo, here is what wiki says: National Novel Writing Month, shortened as NaNoWriMo (na-noh-RY-moh),[2] is an annual internet-based creative writing project that takes place during the month of November. NaNoWriMo challenges participants to write 50,000 words of a new novel from November 1 until the deadline at 11:59PM on November 30. The goal of NaNoWriMo is to get people writing and keep them motivated throughout the process. To ensure this, the website provides participants with tips for writer's block, local places writers participating in NaNoWriMo are meeting, and an online community of support. The idea is to focus on completion instead of perfection. NaNoWriMo focuses on the length of a work rather than the quality, encouraging writers to finish their first draft so that it can later be edited at the author's discretion.[3] NaNoWriMo's main goal is to encourage creativity worldwide.
Dibble Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I'm joining in again this year No script and just a few vague ideas; just the way I like it.
MysterionMuffles Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I'm already 43,000 words into my 2nd draft, but I will be applying the principles of daily writing starting tommorow does it have to be a fresh new novel or can I sign up with what I have so far, have that tracked, and get the community benefits?
Dibble Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I think the official challenge is to start with a new story on day one, so no cheating
MysterionMuffles Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 K I'll just follow in the principles then, but next year I'll start fresh when Im done the 3rd draft of my current book and have it published by then I hope.
