I was wondering what is the best way to find studies on the effects of child abuse, and if you had any links or resources that you could send my way.  obviously there is google, I was just wondering if there are other sources i am not aware of, I see a lot of the stuff on google is editorialized.

You might have tried this before: google has a function where you can explicitly search for scholarly articles if you don't want editorials. Try: http://scholar.google.com/
