JordanS Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Video in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ujBjcgP3hs This is one of the travesties with the black community that i don't see in any other demographic, not to make this a cultural thing but the bad philosophy is almost palpable. Beating a child in order to teach them to not beat others. You guys can clearly see the contradictions so i won't go into it. What i find almost worse than that is the fact that in the black community this is seen a 'good parenting' as the video above demonstrates from its title. From an 80 IQ level, stopping your child from joining a gang by physically traumatising them could be seen as a step up, but from our vantage point, the whole situation is a travesty. What do you think of this? What would a peaceful parent have done? Is it too late for communities like this? 1
MysterionMuffles Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 How ironic...that's all I gotta say. Reported. Let's report this video off of Youtube, please. I know there's plenty more out there, but before there's a million views and comments supporting what this douchebag just did. Thankfully the two comments that are there are against what he did. What would a peaceful parent have done? A child of a peaceful parent wouldn't even be drawn to joining a gang.
AynRand Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 RJ now we have at least 2 flags on this video great idea. I am disgusted at the title of this video. I realize that their are so many contradictions in this video, but I thought the worst was the father proclaiming "all you homies come to my house" as though he is encouraging violence be brought to his household, while beating his son for reason's motivated by gang violence. As for your question JordanS I don't believe it is ever to late to make a better future for communities like this (barring some extreme scenario like setting of a nuclear Holocaust or anything close to that.) A great way to remove gangs from these communities would be to legalize the drugs that provide the financial incentive for these gangs to exist. 2
shirgall Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I have reported it as well as "Father batters son at :37." 2
levi w Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 This video was also posted to worldstarhiphop.com and had hundreds of comments applouding the father with thousands of upvotes on them. People even going as far to say they wish more fathers like this where out there and completely denying that any abuse even occurred. Its mind blowing really
J. D. Stembal Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 As an update, the video was taken down. Good work, FDR! I'm glad I didn't get a chance to watch it.
Jonathan111 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 That is the first time I have seen that website you mentioned levi w, worldstarhiphop.com. I read through several pages of video titles and I am reminded again why I hate the set of values promoted by hip-hop culture... It subjugates women as either sexual objects or property, glorifies violence and drug use, it holds the idea that general thuggery is manly or masculine, and that property is won by scam or theft, it promotes the notion that (for the most part) sports or music are pinnacle achievements in society.
