Cantharis Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Hello. I have created a project in Lighthouse, a bitcoin based crowdfunding application, and I would like to share it with you, maybe some of you might help me. As an introduction, there is not much to say about myself. I am an aspiring writer, with a somewhat ambitious goal of changing the society, and ending the violence through my writing. I have in mind a book triology, and I am currently one third done with the last book, Theocracy.I am writing the last book first, because I would like to present to the readers a society free from coercion, based on the non-aggression principle. The second book, middle in chronology, is going to show how to reach it collectively, and the last in writing order is going to be a realistic novel set in the present world, showing how to live a life according to this philosophy of freedom. The Theocracy is a science fiction novel, with two paralell conflict in the plot. The first is the following:After humanity has created the societies without government and aggression, we found peace with each other. The main character is a teacher in a school, dedicated to help and heal the wounded, abandoned or abused children of the society. The school has become the society's confilct managing institution. Students learn how to manage situations without aggression, how to settle disputes between parties in conflict, and how to keep up the peace in the city. The school gets orders from the citizens, and in return, they get paid from those who seek their help. There are some, who choose to violate the non-aggression principle of the society, and in some cases, they are cast out of the society. They, having no place to go with a murderer's reputation, found sanctuary in a virtual reality called the Second Vatican. It was the abandoned prison space station of the Earth, but now, it has become a voluntarist theocracy, giving home to those who cannot control themselves. Even though they have imprisoned themselves voluntarily, there are some in the system who have changed, learned from their mistakes and want to get out, back to the freedom. The novel tells the tale of a girl who is trapped in the theocracy, and wants to get out, but only after she had been able to help the others who desire change in themselves. This part holds up a mirror to the current society. The second confilct is inside the anarcho-capitalist society, showing how the problems are solved, what are the rules of the system and how it works. It is really complicated, and I have yet to reach its final conclusion, but it is a hard-sf storyline, with a deeply rooted philosophical question, which is something like this:Imagine a world that has reached the highest end of individual productivity. A new way of life rises, a new path of evolution. To walk this path, the price one must pay is his individuality, joining into a collective meta-consciousness. It is not coerced, but this entity will outgrow the individual human potential, leaving those who did not take the choice of joining without progress and without further achievements, without a territory and a future. Is the existence of such being a threat to mankind, and is it moral, to fight it?I would like to finish the book by the end of march, and then translate it to english asap, and publish it in the USA by the time summer greets us. I would need support to be able to pay my food, and pay the costs of publishing. Those who support me with at least 0.05 BTC will get a free, signed copy once I am done. Here is the file, through which you can donate after downloading the Lighthouse. http://bitseattle.com/lighthouse-projects/theocracy-an-anarcho-capitalist-novel.lighthouse-project Thank you.

Cantharis Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 I haven't found a way to delete the previous comment, so I'll just talk with myself here, since noone cares Gonna put some quotes here because hashtag yolo, and I want you to read me, dear wanderer of the board. He searched for evidence of past crimes in their lifes, and when he was lucky enough to find one, he presented it to the community. They were forgiving, in most cases, except when it came to murder or child abuse. The first caused slow disregard and excommunication from the stores, roads, houses, in short, from anything that was in private hands, and here, everything was in private hands. The child abuse, if the evidence was compelling, resulted in almost instant ban from the nameless colony. The cause of it was simple: aggression in this society was a plague, and everything must have been done to stop its spread. If they were to allow child abuse in only one family, the use of force as an absolute would have spread among the child’s friends, and once they grow old enough, the ancient, dreadful god of the lost Earth would return in an instant. The state would reborn. This was the worst nightmare of every citizen living in the nameless colony of Mars. As long as the Shaman lived among them, they felt safe. He, the guardian of peace, the neohuman hero, who helped humanity to transcend their beliefs, now lifed a hermit’s life, a legend, withdrawn from society. Raoul Seoc knew him. The Shaman, Cantharis de la Cruz was a teacher in the academy, and thus, he knew that his protection was nothing, but the lack of adventure. Raoul’s desire to hunt down Hypnos was a selfish drive, but isn't it selfishness, what drove this world forward? From the selfish desire to create, the greatest pieces of arts were formed. From the selfish drive to be boundless, the greates technologies were created. From the Shaman’s selfish desire to live in freedom, the colony was built. After the nameless colony was established, and the spontaneous order of the society has become visible, Novaris decided to leave Mars, and settle in the simulation of the outcasts. He choose to be their guide, and decided to help those who desired change, but had no means to do so. ,,We mustn’t let anyone down” – he said to Cantharis to which he replied in anger: ,,It was their decision to steal and murder, they should have seek help then! Now let them pay the price. I am unforgiving in moral cases, and you should be too, for there is no other way to maintain peace.” "Very well - he said, giving up the argument. – Then I belong to them. Ex-cop. I cannot know how many innocent life ended up in prison because of me. This is my only way of redemption from the sins I’ve committed in the past life.” - I still feel honored by your presence, Shaman – the father continued the line of their conversation. – You helped us to transcend from violence. - I just finished the job of the anarchists and libertarians before me. You honor me by treating your child equally and living a life of morality, doctor Fischer. Your job as a parent is what makes this world working – he smiled. http://luciddrealm.blogspot.com/
