mortimer Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 i just learned i am a father of an almost four year old boy. what im wondering is if anyone has any thoughts on whether it is a better idea to let him stay in the family he knows or try and share custody and influence him in a good way, seeing as i am up to speed on peaceful parenting. i am 23 years old and the boys mother is married to a guy in the army and they live one state away. any thoughts? this is my firt post so dont be too hard on me
J. D. Stembal Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Does the army fellow know you, and that the child is your progeny? Does he believe the child is his? I suggest that you inform him of the truth once you have genetic confirmation. How did you find out and why did it take four and a half years?
Pepin Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I would first get a test to verify he is your child before deciding contemplating anything. 3
zmanx Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 curious to know what OP decided to do on this? I completely agree on ensuring the child is his before making any kind of decision. Kind of a bummer that she would wait so long before sharing the news
