While many commentators here might think Sarkeeesian and GamerGate to be frivolous, the video game industry has surpassed Hollywood in revenue, and is a major cultural influence on boys and young men in particular. As such, overt attempts by propagandists such as Sarkeesian to alter the way video games are made and marketed are worth paying attention to.
