ellisante35 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Should the citizens and unborn citizens of the "United States of America" pay their national debt obligations...or would we call these people assholes that did not choose to comply with the debt repayment? I would like to hear some thoughts. Thanks.
Ray H. Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Should the government recognize that its management of the economy has failed? Should it be obliged to cease failed policies? Should it fulfill its stated obligation to citizens and unborn citizens to uphold their right to self-determination? Or should we call these people "dictators" that did not choose to comply with principles of liberty?
thebeardslastcall Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Not only is it a debt forced upon slaves, but the debtor also gave money knowing the unjust conditions of the society. The debt isn't ours and those who get 'stiffed' have only themselves to blame for trying to receive wealth stolen from us. I'm not going to feel bad for the thief or the one directly accepting stolen goods because their slaves escape and deny their 'obligation' to work the fields. It's just a heinous trap to keep the animals on the farm with mental enslavement. It would be more morally correct to say they are obligated to pay us. They're the 'assholes', not the people in false debt, and this inversion of responsibility and morality they try to beat into the minds of slaves is evil.
Mister Mister Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 There are no philosophically valid unchosen positive obligations. You can't sign a fetus into a contract. Don't have to waste too many brain cells figuring this out.
ribuck Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 The debt should probably be repaid by those who voted and thereby endorsed the system that incurred the debt. But absolutely not by our children, and their as-yet unborn children, who are innocent. Or the government could just default and we could reboot the system.
