GailG Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Why are you afraid of Satanism? It is nothing more than atheism wearing a costume. It exists because of anger at Christians. It pokes fun of them, but in a more personal way than the flying spaghetti monster does. Satan isn't real.

It requires Satan to be in opposition to the Christian God and no other.
Guest Gee Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Has anyone ever considered that the best environment to teach the concept of freedom, virtue and UPB might be in the framework of a religion? It may provide a beacon to new Athiests that are confused about what to do without a god and guide them away from statism. Or has youtube made religion redundant? I think the best enviroment would be in a physics class.
fschmidt Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Has anyone ever considered that the best environment to teach the concept of freedom, virtue and UPB might be in the framework of a religion? What is UPB? But to answer your question, there was a guy who considered the best environment to teach the concepts of freedom and virtue. His name was Moses and the end result is the Old Testament.

That's true, the Old Testament is really the best moral philosophy from the last 3000 years. It's a shame, though, they forgot to mention "don't rape" in all those chapters. Also the cutting off foreskins as a sacrifice for Yahweh is a little creepy...

Kind of makes you wonder about how proponents of male mutilation cite medical benefits. Are they suggesting that medical science has not evolved after millenia?
