Tservitive Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 So, if Donald Trump becomes president, will there be an Apprentice Cabaret Member due to air in the fall-early winter?
shirgall Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I want to see him have each Department justify its budgets based on past performance.
thebeardslastcall Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I think I'd be more concerned with the insane conditions that would be required for him to get elected (it's not happening), than what he'd do as President. I'd assume we'd be in sort of extreme apocalyptic situation. He'd be ruling over a few dumb survivors and the remainder of us would get to do what we wanted probably far removed from him. So the consequence would be you'd have to learn how to live in a dramatically transformed world and that would be before he even gave a single order. I'm guessing you meant President of the United States or whatever is left of it.
LovePrevails Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 people say Obama couldn't close Guantanamo because his hands were tied - BS - he could have got on TV and said "I promised I would close guantanamo, I want to deliver on that promise but I can't because X Y Z I need you all to write to your congressman or woman and tell them to support me on this. I think Trump would be immensely frustrated by the fact that he couldn't get anything done, and he is a brash enough character to get on tv and explain why he can't get anything done and how fucked the system is - which is why they would never let him get elected
Laszlo Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I was just about to post a thread about this. It would be nice to hear Stephan's views about what the implications might be if he'd hypothetically win the election. He claims himself to be a free market guy, and I don't know too much about him to tell how much of a free market guy he really is and how much of his fortune is a result of other means, but I believe he has some well founded ideas that might be applicable also in macro economics. But I might be completely off base. However, he will never make it because he's not a true politician, he doesn't really use rhetorical tricks to get sympathies, he's never afraid to voice his opinions, which a lot comes across as extremely arrogant to the masses - especially when taken out of context. Every time he opens his mouth media is having a field day ridiculing him, so he will never be able to get enough support to even have a chance.
