BroheimianGrove Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Does anyone have a link to share with Stef talking about the TPP? I'd love to hear his take. I think the TPP is a great litmus test for politicians. Are you cool with selling-out America and any semblance of the free market to multi-national corporations? 1. YES 2. NO As far as I can tell, the following presidential candidates are the only ones who are against the TPP. This is not a perfect list because some of the candidates (like Ted Cruz) have a pretty shady vote history on the TPP despite what they say. The list: Rand Paul* Donald Trump Rick Santorum Scott Walker Ben Carson Ted Cruz** Martin O'Malley Bernie Sanders Everyone else is cool with selling-out America and any semblance of the free market to multi-national corporations Not that I like Ed Sullivan overall, but Comcast fired him because he talked about the TPP. https://www.ringoffireradio.com/2015/07/comcast-killed-the-ed-show-for-talking-about-tpp/ This is the corporate coalition has been lobbying congress and Obama for the last ten years at least. It's been Obama's baby since his first term. I wonder why he did not talk about it during his re-election campaign? http://tppcoalition.org/about/
AncapFTW Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 It would help if I knew what TPP was. Also, the question is leading.

I will save you time by telling you the essence: '' ability to sue government for damage to profits due to regulations'' Sounds like ability to sue gov for not terminating competition and not allowing the dumping of radioactive waste in public streets. Because its more expensive otherwise/ TPP

Because its more expensive otherwise/ TPP Does that mean we can sue the government for our taxes, and for all of the regulatory burdens placed on us? No? Just other plantations can sue them? Ok.
